The brotherhood meeting was opened by the president, Dick Strecker, at 7:05 p.m.  The minutes of the previous brotherhood meeting and the Executive Board meeting will read and accepted.  The treasures report followed:

The New England regional conference will be held at the University of Massachusetts this weekend.  There will be a $.50 registration fee for all delegates.  The conference will consist of registration and a party on Friday night, breakfast on Saturday morning, speeches following the breakfast, work projects at Ross Park on Saturday afternoon, and the supper on Saturday night.

Spring banquet will be on May 9, 1964 and the prices for the meals are as follows: $4.45 for the beef, $3.75 for the chicken.

Changes in the chapter's calendar are as follows:
April 20 -- trip to the University of Vermont for smoke
April 21 -- brotherhood meeting, 6:15 p.m. -- executive board meeting
April 20 -- nominations last week of April -- board of review
May 4 -- chapter elections
May 8 -- initiation of pledge class as brothers.

Petitions from Western Kentucky State College, Murray State College, New Haven College, and Mount Union College were read.  These four colonies of APO are now in the process of being formed chapters.  Kappa Omicron approved the entry of these colonies to the national fraternity.

Move: that Kappa Omicron chapter tentatively approved the recommendations of the Editing Board of the Critique.  Passed.

Move: that the finance committee underwrite $30 to the Belchertown.  Passed.  APO will now be the official sponsor of the Belchertown project.

Move: that the chapter accept the Executive Board recommendations of Jack Kooyoomjian, Don Kawash, Dan Dwyer, Dave Mitchell, Dave Greenstein, and Mr. Alden P. Tuttle to be on the awards committee for the spring banquet.  Passed.

A motion concerning not "rushing" for semester freshman was tabled to the membership committee.

They will definitely be a smoker at the University of Vermont on April 20.  Newsletter to have a good number of brothers present there.

George Cusson, Jack Kooyoomjian, Donald Kawash, Dennis Spinner, and Danny Myshrall volunteered to be on the nomination committee.

Move: that Alpha Phi Omega approach Gamma Sigma Sigma requesting the appointment of the joint committee of three members from each chapter to consider contributing to the Albert P. Madiera scholarship fund.  Passed.

Move: that Kappa Omicron chapter proposed drafting, as the winglet sponsored legislation, of revision for ad hoc liaison committees to be appointed by the national president upon receipt of petitions to establish new chapters.  This committee would comprise the sectional chairman, Actives from nearby chapters, and nearby alumni.  These committees would report on the petitioning groups and the school, for the information of the national fraternity and various chapters in considering the petition.  Passed.
